In one sentence. WC3 DataCraft is a non-commercial fan project that publishes statistics about Blizzard Entertainment's Warcraft III games under a good-faith interpretation of Blizzard's Fan Content Policy. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., or any other rights holder mentioned on the site.

1. Fan-project disclaimer

WC3 DataCraft is an independent, non-commercial fan project created by enthusiasts of the Warcraft III series. The project receives no payment, sponsorship, ad revenue, affiliate revenue, or other compensation in connection with its operation.

The site is not an official Blizzard product, service, or communication. Any opinions, analyses, rankings, predictions, or interpretations expressed on the site are those of the operator and do not represent the views or positions of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., its affiliates, employees, or contractors.

2. Blizzard intellectual property

The site contains references to and derived analytical data about characters, units, heroes, abilities, items, buildings, races, mechanics, and other elements originally created by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. ("Blizzard"). All such elements, including the names Warcraft, Warcraft III, The Frozen Throne, Reign of Chaos, Reforged, Battle.net, and any related logos, artwork, sounds, music, and lore, are the property of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. © Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. All rights reserved.

We use such references in good faith for non-commercial, informational, and educational purposes. We believe this use is consistent with Blizzard's Fan Content Policy, which is published at:

Specifically, we believe the site complies with Blizzard's Fan Content Policy because:

If Blizzard or its successors in interest determine that any use on the site exceeds the Fan Content Policy, we will remove the offending material upon receipt of a notice at the email address in §7.

3. Third-party data and content credits

Some unit icons, ability icons, hero portraits, and reference statistics on the site are sourced from publicly available community wikis. We are grateful to the volunteer contributors who curate these resources.

Where required by CC BY-SA, we attribute the source wiki on the relevant page and preserve the same licence for any directly copied text. The derived statistics and analytical commentary we produce on top of these inputs constitute new original work, copyrighted by the operator of WC3 DataCraft as described in the Terms of Use §4.

Warcraft®, Warcraft III®, The Frozen Throne®, Reforged®, Battle.net®, and Blizzard® are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. All other product, service, and company names mentioned on the site — including those of Google LLC and GitHub Inc. — are trademarks of their respective owners. Their mention on the site is purely nominative and does not imply endorsement of or affiliation with their owners.

6. Copyright takedown procedure

If you believe material on the site infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to enforce, email the contact in §7 with (i) identification of the work, (ii) the URL of the allegedly infringing material on this site, and (iii) your contact details and signature. We will acknowledge valid notices within five business days and remove or disable access to the material if the notice is well-founded. This procedure is consistent with §512 of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512), Article 14 of the EU Directive on electronic commerce (2000/31/EC) and its successor regimes under the EU Digital Services Act, and equivalent notice-and-takedown frameworks in other jurisdictions. Bad-faith notices may give rise to liability under applicable law.
